A little about me: My family has owned and operated businesses in the Lamar area since the 1950s. My grandfather was Tommy Maberry, who started Maberry’s Barbershop in the 1950’s; and his father, Alan, followed in Tommy’s footsteps. My mother, Becky Backs, owned and operated Denim & Lace for 33 years, also on Lamar square. It is safe to say that entrepreneurship runs strong in my blood.
